The award winning Fidelio Trio perform Ravel’s colourful and virtuosic Piano Trio composed in 1914: oriental influences can also be heard in Debussy’s La Mer arranged by composer Sally Beamish. Between Tides is one of Takemitsu’s final works and is inspired by water and the eternal motion of the sea: a mediative work that has echoes of Ravel and Debussy.
