Three of the UK’s leading musicians come together to perform sublime works by Brahms and new music by Brian Elias. Ben Goldscheider recently premiered Elias – Horn Concerto with the BBC Symphony Orchestra at the Aldeburgh Festival together with Sometimes – a new work for horn and piano. Thomas Kemp and Huw Watkins give the world premiere of Roundel for violin and piano. Brian Elias talks about his fascinating life in music which will include excerpts from a film by legendary documentary maker Barrie Gavin that places his music into its cultural context. A fascinating evening of words and music giving insight into the creative process.
