Music@Malling celebrate the Year of the Normans 2027

Music@Malling are delighted to be part of the Year of the Normans – a Europe wide celebration of the 1000th anniversary of William the Conquerers birth. Lots of events are planned involving exchanges between France and the UK; commissions from leading UK and French based composers; six new works by composers from the Royal Academy of Music, London and the École Normale de Musique, Paris and concerts in Norman venues including Rochester Cathedral and Castle; Malling Abbey; St.Mary’s Church, West Malling; St.Leonards Tower and an exhibition charting the Norman heritage of West Malling and its surrounding villages.
