About Kent Music
Kent Music is a music education charity committed to providing music opportunities to individuals, schools and groups across Kent, through individual lessons; whole class instrumental teaching; local and county-wide ensembles and choirs; teacher training; and through creating and supporting special music projects and events.
We provide music lessons in schools and local music centres across Kent. Learning to sing or to play a musical instrument provides enormous benefits for young people in terms of their intellectual, social and emotional development.
Music Centre membership is fantastic value from only £4.50 a week, with some great benefits! As a member you will have access to all ensembles at our Music Centres across Kent, so you can join as many as you wish. Tuition is an additional charge, but you will receive a 10% discount on your membership if you also wish to join a group.
Orchestra ONE… the Orchestra of New Experiences, is a large music group for young musicians between the ages of 8 and 18. Members of Orchestra ONE come from a wide range of musical backgrounds and create their own original music during each four day project.
Every project offers a new experience influenced by changing themes, collaborations and specialist tutor teams but most importantly by the young musicians’ own interests, styles and instrumentation. Projects held at various venues in Maidstone in Spring, Summer and Autumn.
Kent Music has a wide range of musical instruments for hire. Our aim is to make good quality musical instruments available to students at very reasonable rates, saving the expense of buying an instrument.
