The Tippett Quartet bring to the mix their credentials as one of the UK’s most prominent chamber ensembles with a passion for the great Hollywood music of the 20th Century – including highly acclaimed recordings of music by Bernard Hermann and Miklos Rosza. They are joined by leading Grammy-nominated jazz instrumentalists Matt Skelton and James Pearson – Artistic Director of Ronnie Scotts. The scores have been transcribed by the brilliant trombonist and band leader, Callum Au. Hear the songs from Close to You and many other of Sinatra’s most famous songs performed exquisitely by a top lineup of musicians – who pay homage to the skill and sound of the great studio musicians – Nelson Riddle, The Hollywood Quartet, Nat King Cole – that made this music come to life sixty years ago.
